The Driver - Raul Boesel. Born in Curitiba/Parana State, Brazil, December 4, 1957, Raul currently resides in Key Biscayne, Florida, with his wife Vera, and two children, Raul Filho (Jr.) and Gabriela.

It is hard to describe Raul Boesel's career in only a few words. Ever since he started in Go-karting, this driver has been collecting victories and titles. His results from the rookie year in Stock Car racing in his native country and, Formula Ford and Formula 3 in England were the reason behind his meteoric climb to Formula 1 Grand Prix.

His most important title, which places him in the exclusive list of 'World Champions', was achieved when he won the World Sports Car Championship driving for the British car make Jaguar. This title secured Raul the status of an outstanding driver.

Soon after this achievement, the recently built 'Autodromo Internacional de Curitiba' in his hometown, was named 'Circuito Raul Boesel'. After his wins in Europe, Raul attracted the attention of several Indy Car teams and decided to compete in the greatest race in the world, the Indianapolis 500. Raul has proven to be a top driver and competitor with career highlights such as starting on the front row at the Indianapolis 500 for two consecutive years, leading through many races and finishing on the podium several times. While driving in the Indy series, Raul also set a new track record in Milwaukee and was busy driving in Sports Cars, winning the famous 24 Hours of Daytona, besides placing second at the traditional Le Mans 24 Hours driving for Jaguar. These are but mere examples of Raul Boesel's career, a driver internationally recognized by his competitors, sponsors and fans for his charisma and professionalism on and off the racetrack.

Raul drove in two races in 1999 for Dan Gurney's All American Racers.
