Composite Department
The composites manufacturing process
is by nature extremely labor intensive and time consuming. AAR has invested
in state of the art equipment to accommodate your need for quick action.
Gone are the days of a man and his scissors cutting pattern after pattern
necessary for lay-ups. Nowadays we use digitizing boards and computerized
pattern cutting machines. Our Gerber cutter is capable of cutting 45 inches
per second while optimizing the usage of material by nesting patterns. Now
we are able to save an extra 20% of material while speeding up the cutting
process by 90%. Outside AAR's 7000 square foot facility also lies a 9 foot
six inch diameter 18 foot long Autoclave capable of 800 degrees and 200 psi.
Because of its size, it can handle multiple part loads thereby reducing the
need for several different autoclave runs. AAR's composite department is
capable of meeting your needs with rapid response, high quality parts
necessary to cope with constant changes in the industry.
