MOTOR TREND Magazine - February 2003 issue:

MOTORSPORT Magazine - January 2003 edition, England:
13 page special survey of the greatest 'ALL ROUNDERS' (most versatile drivers) in motor sports history, with an overview of their careers. Dan was voted No. 6 on the list.

AUTOSPORT Magazine -  January 2nd, 2003 edition:
Story on the 'TOP FIFTY' greatest cars in motor sports.
In 8th place: 1972 EAGLE-Offenhauser, a stunning car with a stunning record. Driven by Jerry Grant and Bobby Unser, All-American Racers 1972 Eagle was the first car to lap a super speedway at more than 200mph. Unser was an the pole for eight of 10 USAC races in ''72 - and in taking pole at Indianapolis, he broke the track record by no less than 17mph!  Eagles went on to pretty much dominate Champ Car racing for the next half decade, with Dan Gurney's AAR concern providing up to two-thirds of the field at Indianapolis. Unser went on to win both the 1974 USAC crown and the '75 Indy 500 in derivative of the '72 Eagle.

Who said you can't go home again? Road and Track magazine, November issue, features terrific major story / photos by John Lamm about Dan going back to Spa Belgium with the F1 Eagle Gurney-Weslake on the 35th anniversary of his historic victory.

Cycle World magazine's November issue. Great story by Steve Anderson, Don Canet, Mark Hoyer and David Edwards with photos by Brian Blades and Jay McNally.

RACER Magazine, November issue: "Too good to be true" is the title of a story on the inaugural REX MAYS 300 (Indy-car race) in Riverside, California 1967 by David Philipps. It describes a "battle among giants" won by Dan and representing the first of his seven Indy car victories.

F1 RACING Magazine, the worlds best selling Formula 1 magazine from Great Britain, May 2001 edition. An 8 page photo story on AAR Eagle V12 Formula 1 Car and effort in the Sixties, by John Leach. The article titled "ALL AMERICAN RACER" tells what it was like to build an American Grand Prix car. Dan remains the only  U.S. citizen to win a Grand Prix in a car of his own construction.

AUTO, MOTOR UND SPORT, Germany's #1 automobile magazine in its April 4, 2001 edition feature a tribute on the occasion of Dan's 70th birthday called "AMERICAN HERO", from shooting star to legend; with photos of Dan's career as a driver and racecar manufacturer.

CLASSIC and SPORTS CAR Magazine, Great Britain, March 2001 edition: "Class of 59" by Nigel Roebuck. Dan tells the story of his first Formula1  season with Ferrari.

INDIANAPOLIS STAR Newspaper, September 22nd,  Special Section United States Grand Prix:  full page story with photographs by Robin Miller,  "THANK YOU DAN AND MARIO FOR AMERICA'S F1 MEMORIES".

LOS ANGELES TIMES Newspaper, April 26th, 2000:  Story about Dan/Shav Glick Award "An appropriate Toast", by Jerry Crowe. Feature Story in the German magazine "AUTO, MOTOR UND SPORT"  (March edition Formel1 Extra - 50 years of Formula1) on Dan Gurney's experiences in the 1962 German Grand Prix at the Nuerburgring, where he was the pole sitter in a Porsche F1 car by Michael Schmidt.
