The Spa winning Titanium Eagle V12 comes back from the European F1 circuit to race at the US Grand Prix in Watkins Glen 1967. Here Dan leaves the garage to go to the pits for the start of the race. American fans, as this picture so graphically shows, are wild with enthusiasm. Dan qualified third behind Graham Hill and Jimmy Clark. DNF in race.

• On Friday September 22nd, 2000 before the US Grand Prix in Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Star newspaper published a special section on the race. A full page story by Robin Miller titled "Thank you, Dan  and Mario for America's F-1 memories" celebrates America's contribution to Grand Prix Racing
